The tips above provide invaluable recommendations for maintaining and preserving your bags.
– To maintain the original shape of your bags, avoid overloading them, which can damage the straps, closures and clasps. When not in use, stuff them with tissue paper and store them in their original fabric cover. Remember to fold the chains and special handles inside to avoid marks on the skin.
- – To preserve the surface of your leather goods, avoid contact with rough or abrasive materials, chemicals, fats, make-up or perfumes. Protect them from water, humidity and extreme temperatures. If exposed to water, wipe up immediately with a soft, dry cloth, without rubbing.
- – In the event of a stain, clean and dry immediately by dabbing with a soft, dry white cloth. Avoid using corrosive liquids such as alcohol, solvents or stain removers on leather or fabric surfaces.
- – Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or artificial light, especially for white leather goods, which may yellow. Patent leather should not come into contact with PVC surfaces to avoid color transfer.
- – Avoid contact between patent leather and PVC surfaces, as there is a risk of color transfer from the latter to your leather article.
